Today was a typical variety day for me, but extra fun as I visited with my mom and daughter. I delivered the clothes I made for her this past week, and we took photos of her wearing them. I did her hair highlights, kinda messed up so need to go back tomorrow and fix them. Oops. Picked some peaches and made peach crisp with them. And lastly started on a fabric belt for my daughter.
And it's raining again. It has rained nearly every day and or night for the month of July. It's the new normal

For the most part we just don't ponder the origin of commonplace expressions because they are... common. The first thing I discovered when beginning to read this little gem of a book, was not only hadn't I considered where many common sayings come from, but my preconceived idea of their origin was actually wrong! Kinda embarrassing, but guessing I may not be alone in this. I thought it would be of value then to share some tidbits from this book.
