Photo 1. Two pieces here, front of pant leg and pocket/pocket facing. I have lowered and enlarged the pocket opening from the original. Stitch along curve.
2. Clip within seam allowance so seam lies flat when turned right side out.
3. Press well with iron. Edge stitch, and stich again 3/8" away.
4. Fold back packet to meet side of pant. Tack at top and sides.
5. Pocket inside. Finished at bottom, attached to pants inseam.
6. Attach yoke to pants back. Lining up all patterns. Topstitch seam allowance downwards.
7. Attach front to back at sides, pinning to ensure all pattern lines up.

For the most part we just don't ponder the origin of commonplace expressions because they are... common. The first thing I discovered when beginning to read this little gem of a book, was not only hadn't I considered where many common sayings come from, but my preconceived idea of their origin was actually wrong! Kinda embarrassing, but guessing I may not be alone in this. I thought it would be of value then to share some tidbits from this book. Audio format is nice, as you can multitask while listening to this. This is my first attempt at recording reading a book, so any constructive criticism is welcome!
