Finished tipi frame, plus cover

The tipi is 13' across at the bottom, and 10' high, middle to top. The poles are 12' long from bottom to cross section.
I worked out how many drop cloths i needed to buy by using a scrap of fabric 15" x 12"( the largest drop cloth available at Lowes is 15 x 12). I purchased two.

Laying them out on the floor, I cut triangles, then sewed them together. Finishing touch is to put pockets at the top of the canvas cone, to assist with lifting it onto the tipi frame(with an extention painting pole).

At that point I will roll some paint on, to seal it with a plastic barrier. I got a high loft nap for the roller to be able to deposit a lot of paint onto the canvas. Should be interesting to see how long one coat takes to dry. I'll plan on doing two coats.

The Little Book of Answers part 4(animals)

There are a lot of expressions that we hear now and then; most we think we know the origin of, some we don't. For the most part we just don't ponder the origin of commonplace expressions because they are... common. The first thing I discovered when beginning to read this little gem of a book, was not only hadn't I considered where many common sayings come from, but my preconceived idea of their origin was actually wrong! Kinda embarrassing, but guessing I may not be alone in this. I thought it would be of value then to share some tidbits from this book. Audio format is nice, as you can multitask while listening to this. This is my first attempt at recording reading a book, so any constructive criticism is welcome!

Lots of big zucchini this year

Happy garden with all the heat, humidity, and occasional rain.
I made a yummy zucchini chocolate bread for my sister's visit. Going to air fry some of what I just picked.

Nature's eye candy

Some nice shots from the Library garden that I volunteer to take care of.
