I invited a little boy (along with his dad) so he could be part of the cool project. The jb weld takes a day to cure, so I'll invite him over again tomorrow so we can actually light it to try it out.
Couple of learning curves, and filling the tube with sand and or salt, then emptying it is a PITA, so I'm trying some other materials and methods to make the process easier.(you need to fill the tube so that it doesn't kink when you bend it.)

For the most part we just don't ponder the origin of commonplace expressions because they are... common. The first thing I discovered when beginning to read this little gem of a book, was not only hadn't I considered where many common sayings come from, but my preconceived idea of their origin was actually wrong! Kinda embarrassing, but guessing I may not be alone in this. I thought it would be of value then to share some tidbits from this book.
