Finished the primer coat on the exterior, and started on the final coat, Garnet. Actually, it's called Royal Garnet, which is hilarious to me as it is the paint on the two very rustic barns and sugar shack, so not very royal at all. 🙂
It was difficult to roll the primer into the grooves of the T1-11, even with the specialty 1" nap, so for the garnet I am using a brush for the grooves, then will roll onto the main surface. It was cloudy and hit about 48 degrees this afternoon, so I stopped painting. One of the tenants, this adorable homeschooled 5-year old showed up in his carhartt ensemble and tool belt, so I let him "help" me finish up the bunk beds structure inside.

For the most part we just don't ponder the origin of commonplace expressions because they are... common. The first thing I discovered when beginning to read this little gem of a book, was not only hadn't I considered where many common sayings come from, but my preconceived idea of their origin was actually wrong! Kinda embarrassing, but guessing I may not be alone in this. I thought it would be of value then to share some tidbits from this book.
