Book club meeting ran long tonight, so not a productive night for me. I told them I'd take photos of my books and post on the book club page. I guess I'll include the photos here, too, but write a little about them to turn into an actual post. 🙂
In my library I have one large bookcase, two tall and narrow bookcases that I made, and a smaller antique bookcase. The large bookcase holds mostly books, (some over 100 years old), several puzzles, and lots of board games in the lower drawers.
All the classics, all the world religions, mythologies, philosophies, lots of economic and political books, sci-fi, and some of my daughter's books from home-schooling, plus her collection of Agatha Christie books(I am not sure I've read more than one of those)

There are a lot of expressions that we hear now and then; most we think we know the origin of, some we don't. For the most part we just don't ponder the origin of commonplace expressions because they are... common. The first thing I discovered when beginning to read this little gem of a book, was not only hadn't I considered where many common sayings come from, but my preconceived idea of their origin was actually wrong! Kinda embarrassing, but guessing I may not be alone in this. I thought it would be of value then to share some tidbits from this book. Audio format is nice, as you can multitask while listening to this. This is my first attempt at recording reading a book, so any constructive criticism is welcome!
