I've been pretty anxious to start building my prop gun. So much so that I began the process today, even though I haven't finished the last couple steps of the pants. 😄 That's the way I roll, character flaw, I presume...something about discipline and focus.
I found an inspiration piece that seemed to make sense for what I am trying to create.
That's the first photo. As you can see from the following photos, I decided upon a lightweight wood clamp for my base.... and a LOT of hot glue to fill in the negative space to make the handle. A silicone bobbin holder, a sewing machine gear, and some wiring for green lights and the revolver is starting to take shape. I'll create some sort of cover over the coin cell holders, and beef up the slide bar, then think about starting the paint job.

For the most part we just don't ponder the origin of commonplace expressions because they are... common. The first thing I discovered when beginning to read this little gem of a book, was not only hadn't I considered where many common sayings come from, but my preconceived idea of their origin was actually wrong! Kinda embarrassing, but guessing I may not be alone in this. I thought it would be of value then to share some tidbits from this book. Audio format is nice, as you can multitask while listening to this. This is my first attempt at recording reading a book, so any constructive criticism is welcome!
